Frank - Dark Brown

Mephisto’s Frank perfectly represents their ethos – World’s Finest Footwear – Handmade by Master Shoemakers. The upper of this style has a derby lacing face, which boasts six pairs of eyelets. The larger quantity of eyelets going further down the front of the shoe allows for more variation in fitting, and a greatly increased amount of support. The exterior is made from a heavy gauge, oiled brown leather.

Frank's interior is thoroughly leather too, and the insole is leather topped ‘Soft-Air Technology’, which also features within the sole of the shoe to minimise impact. The ‘Soft-Air’ midsole is flexible and described by Mephisto as permanently elastic.

To ensure the climate within the shoe remains cool and dry, there is an ‘Air-Jet System’ incorporated into the insole, so as you walk, air is circulated around the foot. The sole is entirely natural like the rest of the shoe, but instead of leather, it is made from caoutchouc – also known as Indian rubber. This is an incredibly cushioning and much lighter material, allowing for superior shock absorption and grip.
